With a predominantly technical background, the Learning & Teaching Spaces Managers Group has undertaken a radical rebrand and update over the past few months, creating a well-structured technical & strategic focus.
The group is made up of higher education AV managers and senior technicians mostly UK based with international members in Malta, Hong Kong and Australia.
A number of subjects are being covered at this year’s conference including collaboration space design, control systems, wireless mics and mic array technology. Visualization AV Rack build director Nick Pidgeon is honoured to be speaking about the best practices of lectern/rack build quality and testing on Thursday 16th November. During this session he will be discussing what higher education projects should be expecting as a standard in terms of quality of the build from tender documentation through to testing.
The session will educate delegates in the understanding of time and care that goes into both the technical delivery and testing elements of a project and how this saves snagging time on site at the point of installation.
Back at the start of 2016, Visualization partnered with TeamMate to create our very own themed lectern, which will be on show on the TeamMate stand throughout the conference and also on display during Nick's speaking session for delegates to see the work our team of permanent rack build staff offer first hand.
